AWOL Academy is a website that teaches people how to make money online. While the training is decent the courses are expensive. The cheapest academy course you can follow is +$1700 and has a lot of upsells.

Freelancing Marketing Secrets is a guide that when you hear the name should teach you about Freelance marketing but in reality, it teaches you how to promote affiliate products and make money online.
It does by presenting you with a 3-step process.
Step 1: Find an audience with a problem that needs solving
No matter what method you use to make money online you’ll have to pick a niche to focus on. The guide advises you to use Google to measure if an audience is viable for creating an online business.
They guide suggests you use the Google keyword planner to find out how many people are searching for a solution to a specific problem and pick a niche based on this information.
Step 2: Choose a Product
The second step is to find an affiliate product that solves the problems of the audience you picked. They suggest multiple affiliate networks that you have a huge database full of affiliate products.
Step 3: Promote links directed to that product
The guide advises you to promote the affiliate products with the help of a funnel that automates the process of making money with the help of an autoresponder.
They don’t tell you in the guide how to create the funnel but they do have a link in the guide that goes to a page with free training that’ll provide you with a blueprint to creating a sales funnel.
The process in the guide indeed works but I was a bit confused when reading it because I expected a guide that teaches people how to market their freelancing business.

After a lot of discussions with members from my affiliate marketing mastermind about the Awol Academy, we concluded that Awol Academy has decent training but is overpriced.

My Personal Take
This guide is not what I expected it to be. The guide is called Freelance Marketing secrets but doesn’t even spend a paragraph on teaching people how to market their freelancing business. It does give you a guide for making money online promoting affiliate products.
The guide itself is useful for people that don’t know anything about affiliate marketing but most of the information in the guides can be found on every affiliate marketing blog.
The place they send you to called the Awol Academy has solid training when it comes to making money online but it’s a bit too expensive for my taste. I have seen a lot of other affiliate marketing platforms that offer the same training for $40 a month.
Verdict
Is Freelance Marketing Secrets legit?
After doing extensive research I've come to the conclusion that Freelance Marketing Secrets is somewhere in between.
The reason I say Freelance Marketing Secrets is in between because of:
- Freelance being in the name of the guide but it’s not about freelancing.
- It does cover the basic steps to making money online but with affiliate marketing.
Alternatives
Freelance Marketing Secrets might not be what it presented itself to but there are other products out there that are legit.
