5 Ways To Get Paid To Drink Coffee & How To Start

In this post, believe it or not, I’m going to show you how to get to drink coffee.

As someone who lives 10 steps away from a coffee shop and is there 20% of the time it gives me great joy to be able to write an article about making money by drinking coffee.

If you’re ready to start earning money instead of losing money because of coffee keep reading.

These 6 ways to earn money can even turn into a full-time income if you are prepared to put in the time and work.

Now let’s get into the 6 ways to get paid to drink coffee.

1. Start a coffee blog

The first method to get paid to drink coffee is by starting a blog about coffee. Contrary to what people believe blogging isn’t dead.

According to impact plus statistics around 77% of internet users regularly read blog posts.

The difference between 12 years ago during the blogging boom and now is that the types of blogs that are being read are different.

Earn money by starting a blog

People are more interested in blogs covering a particular subject than lifestyle blogs.

This could be coffee reviews, comparisons, coffee equipment reviews, etc.

A blog created for coffee lovers can do really well.

Blogs can be monetized in multiple ways such as sponsored posts, affiliate marketing, display ads, and a lot of other methods.

It’s not uncommon for bloggers to have 4-5 figure monthly income but to do this you need to do it properly.

This is why instead of reinventing the wheel I’d just get a solid blogging course and follow the steps and start earning money as soon as possible.

2. Become an Instagram Coffee influencer

Nowadays attention is money.

As long as you can direct a group of people their attention to a spot companies are willing to pay you money.

In 2022 1.28 Billion people used Instagram which means the skill to shift people’s attention on the platform is insanely valuable.

become a coffee instagram influencer

You could start a coffee Instagrams page and start posting pictures, reels, and videos about coffee and start building an audience.

After you built an audience, you can start monetizing in multiple ways such as sponsored posts and affiliate marketing.

You could also start looking for influencer networks proactively and contact companies yourself to pitch your coffee account.

That being said, it all starts with creating an Instagram account that attracts coffee lovers.

I’d recommend following a high-quality Instagram course so you can start earning money as soon as possible.

3. Start a YouTube channel about Coffee

YouTube has been a source of income for people for more than a decade.

Just like with Blogging and Instagram, it can be used as a tool to shift people’s attention to where you want it to go. It’s also a relatively cheap method for making money online.

Nowadays low-end mobile phones can record videos with quality respectable enough to be shown on YouTube.

Start a coffee youtube channel

You could make your channel art such as your thumbnails and banners with Canva and invest in cheap video editing software and a YouTube course or training

After that, you could start creating coffee reviews, buyer guides, and vlogs to start attracting people to your channel.

Unless you’re going to use YouTube Ads to promote your content it’ll take some time to build your audience ad monetize through paid ads, affiliate marketing, and more.

4. Become a Coffee affiliate marketer

Affiliate marketing is one of the most simple methods for earning money online. It’s nothing more than referring people to a company in exchange for commission based on the purchases of the referral.

This is also one of the reasons I decided to start earning money with affiliate marketing. It was simple and I was broke and it worked.

Affiliate marketing is a billion-dollar industry that’s been around since the 90s and is here to stay. To become a coffee affiliate marketer you have to follow a simple 4-step process.

  1. Sign-up for the affiliate program of a coffee company
  2. Receive a unique affiliate link through which the company can see who you refer
  3. Get people to click on the link to go to the company website
  4. Receive a commission every time a referral buys a product on the website.

If done properly you could earn 4-5 figures on a monthly basis as a coffee affiliate marketer.

This is why if you’re serious about becoming an affiliate marketer I’d take time to learn affiliate marketing before creating your first affiliate marketing website.

As an affiliate marketer, you can use content marketing to create reviews, vlogs, etc which require you to drink coffee.

5. Invent new coffee flavors

If you’re a coffee fanatic and a bit picky about the taste of coffee it might be worth it to start inventing new coffee flavors.

It might sound complicated but there are a lot of coffee flavor articles on the internet that explain where you could start.

After doing some testing and choosing what you like you could start selling it online or if possible find an affiliate company that sells the ingredients you used.

Coffee affiliate programs

Almost all of these methods could be combined with affiliate marketing. This is why I thought it’d be handy to add some affiliate programs that you can sign up for and start promoting their coffee.

Examples of people that get paid to drink coffee

To finish up this article I thought it’d be cool to show you a few examples of people that are earning money by using one of the 5 methods.

1. Coffeehow.co

My first example is a coffee blog created by Sasha Pavlovich.

As you can see it’s a simple but clean blog which gives it quite an elegant look. If you hover over some of the buttons in the blog post you’ll notice that they’re affiliate links directed to Amazon.

Coffeehow main page

The website content consists of buyer guides, recipes, coffee bean reviews, and more. If a website as cool as this one doesn’t inspire you to get started I don’t know what will.

2. James Hoffmann’s YouTube Channel

James Hoffmann is a barista world champion that has been on YouTube for a while.

He reviews beans, and equipment does tutorials and gives tips for buying coffee. He doesn’t only talk about high-end coffee and equipment but also about coffee, which you could find in regular supermarkets.

This channel is great for showing that starting a coffee YouTube channel doesn’t have a high barrier to entry. Even reviewing cheap coffee has a lot of value.

3. The Whole Latte Love YouTube Channel

This YouTube channel is a bit more niche than just coffee. They make content solely about espresso. Reviews, buyer guides, tutorials, and more.

It’s a great YouTube channel to get inspiration from when it comes to starting a youtube channel.

Final Words

You can earn a lot of money drinking coffee and making content about it but it’ll take some time to build an audience (unless you’re using paid advertising).

This is why I think you should at least be interested in learning about coffee to start.

It’s going to take a while but if you persist it’s definitely worth it to earn money online by drinking coffee and creating content about it.

I hope this post was of value to you.

If you have any questions feel free to leave them in the comments.

That’s all for today.
