What is My Digital Survey

My Digital Survey is a GPT website that allows you to do surveys, get coupons, and do other activities. My Digital Survey claims it uses the data it gathers from the surveys to sell to companies so they can improve their marketing and product development.

According to their WHOIS information My Digital Survey was created in 2015 and their IP location is in Illinois which makes sense because the phone number they use for customer service has the area code 618 which is the telephone area code serving southern Illinois

How does My Digital Survey work?

My digital survey claims to function as a middle man for a variety of activities that you can do in exchange for coupons or money.

You can join My Digital Survey by opting in on their website. Unfortunately, you won’t get access to the huge community they speak of on the website instead you’ll be added to an email list.

Through this email list, you’ll get recommendations for websites that you can complete paid surveys on and get all kinds of discount coupons.

What’s important to know is that by signing up you aren’t automatically signed up to all the websites they recommend. You’ll have to sign-up for every website individually. You also have to take into account that the moment you sign-up you consent to My Digital Survey sharing your information with third parties.

Here’s what My Digital Survey promises according to the website:

  • An online community that helps you earn money
  • Access to top surveys
  • Mystery shopping positions
  • The chance to get connected to online jobs, savings, and payout opportunities.

According to the website there are a few things you have to take into account before signin-up such as:

  • My Digital Survey only being available for people located in the United States.
  • You have to be at least 18 years to join My Digital Survey.
  • My Digital Survey in a lot instances will require you to share your phone number.
  • You’re obligated to alert  My Digital Survey if any of the personal information you shared has changed.

In this post, I’ll discuss in they deliver on the 4 promises they made on the website or if they’re just exploiting you.

Pros and Cons

  • A few Legit survey websites

  • Only available in the US
  • No real community
  • Unnecessary website for most people that can type “top paid survey websites” in Google.
  • 99% chance your personal information will be sold
  • You have to consent to your information being used by third parties when signing up.
  • Limited to people that are 18+

My Digital Survey Earning Potential

Technically, My Digital Survey’s earning potential is zero dollars because they direct you to other websites such as paid viewpoint, panel bucks, and Opinion outpost.

That being said, indirectly the earning potential of most of the survey websites they cooperate with aren’t exactly untapped gold mines that you can make a full-time income or decent side-income with.

Most of the top websites they mention they work with give out $2 per survey max. What also is important to know is that for most of these surveys you have to qualify which takes a lot of time.

You can expect to earn somewhere around $20 a month. This isn’t bad but I don’t think it’s worth the time for those looking to earn more than pocket money. Participating also comes with another cost which I’ll mention in the red flags section of this review.

Reviews, Opinions, and Ratings

To keep this as objective as possible I decided to take a look at what others are saying about this supposedly “online opportunity”. This website doesn’t seem to be on the radar of most rating websites but a lot of bloggers have shared their opinion about this website. What bloggers think of My Digital Survey

Most bloggers on Google consider My Digital Survey to be a website they can’t recommend to make money with.

My Digital Survey Red Flags

Red Flag #1: Do not sell information form

When you go through the MY Digital Survey website, you’ll notice in the footer a link with the text “do not sell my information”. On this page, there’s a sign-up form for people from California on which they can request to not have their information sold to third parties.

My Digital Survey will most likely steal your information

So what happens to residents of other states?

This basically confirms that there’s a high chance that if you aren’t from California that your information is going to be sold to others.

Red Flag #2: Directs to other sketchy survey aggregators

I have seen multiple survey aggregators in the past but this one is doing something that I consider a huge red flag. It directs you to other survey aggregators most of the time instead of directing you towards survey websites.

This makes the claim of providing you with websites that you can make money on false. It wouldn’t surprise me if all of these survey aggregators are made by the same people as a way to steal as much information from you as possible.

Red Flag #3: Privacy policy

The privacy policy almost makes it certain that your information is going to be sold to third parties. The moment you sign-up you consent to My Digital Survey using your information for what they claim to be “marketing purposes”.

They also state that they will send you messages containing offers from third-party companies that you might have an interest in through not only email but also telemarketing.

This is a huge red flag in combination with red flag #2 because you aren’t getting what you want but they can take your information.

Red Flag #4: fake testimonials

The website contains a few testimonials with small pictures of the people that supposedly wrote them. Luckily, with a simple reverse image search it was easy to find out that these pictures are stock pictures.

fake my digital survey testimonial

That makes the chance of these testimonials being fake very high. I consider this a huge red flag that shouldn’t be ignored.

Red Flag #5: Unknown founders

There is no information on the website about the founder of My Digital Survey. This doesn’t necessarily mean that its a scam because there are a lot of legit  businesses out there that don’t have their founders name on the website but most of the time you could find some information about them on the internet.

This isn’t the case for My Digital Survey. There’s no information about the founder on social platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and Linkedin. This in combination with the other red flags I mentioned should give you cause to pause before investing time into this website.

My Digital Survey support

On the website, My Digital Survey is presented as an online community but that isn’t true. After you sign up, you’ll simply get emails with offers and survey websites (but mostly offers).

I tried emailing My Digital Survey Support a few days ago but I haven’t heard back from them so I can imagine if you really have an urgent problem their support isn’t ideal.

My Personal Take

I have seen survey aggregator websites in the past with bad ratings but came through on their promises. I don’t believe My Digital Survey belongs to that group. Some of the top websites they present you with are also survey aggregators that are sketchy websites just like My Digital Survey.

Looking at all the red flags I have to conclude that My Digital Survey is a shady website (that delivers on just 1 of 4 promises) created to harvest people’s data and sell that to companies.

They aren’t upfront with what you consent to by signing up. They have a link in the footer to a page that explains all the downsides of this website but its strategically placed so that most people don’t read it.

Is My Digital Survey A Scam? No but it's definitely a shady website.

I think My Digital Survey can’t technically be considered a scam because all the information about the downsides of what you content to is on the website but its strategically placed on locations that most people will overlook.

My Digital Survey also doesn’t deliver on 75% of the promises they made on the website. They do offer some paid surveys (which you can easily find on Google)  but in exchange for that most people unknowingly will have their information sold to third parties.

So what should be your next move to make money online?

I know it is sad to see that My Digital Survey is not the website it claimed to be but that doesn’t mean you can’t make money online. The website you’re on brings in a steady income every month by using one of the easiest ways to earn a full-time income online.

To earn money with this method:

  • You don’t need prior experience
  • You don’t need to buy fancy online tools
  • You don’t need to create your own products

The method I’m talking about is called affiliate marketing and if you do it in the right way you can earn a lot of money. Companies such as Amazon, Uber, and eBay all have affiliate programs that you can use to make money.

The trick is to find trustworthy affiliate programs and learn how to attract people that’d be interested in your offers.
