What is Write App Reviews?

Write App Reviews is a website that gives people the opportunity to earn money in exchange for testing apps and writing app reviews.

Write App Reviews is a relatively young website. According to its WHOIS information it was created on 2-24-2020.

The purpose of these tests is to help developers identify bugs and improve user experience of apps.

Write App Reviews provides its user with a review certification and apps in multiple niches such as games, health and fitness apps, cooking apps, photography apps, sports apps, music apps, and more.

This all sounds good but is it really what it claims to be? Let's find out!

Well…

You can test it out by using a VPN.

Write App Reviews One time discount

This will give you access to the platform to the platform and a done-for-you website that you can use to drive traffic to your affiliate links in order to earn commissions.

Upsell #1: Unlimited VIP
The Unlimited VIP upsell gives you access to the VIP area of writeappreviews.com. Not much is known about this area because the people WAR chose not to talk about all the benefits Unlimited VIP members get.

The only thing they do disclose is that VIP members earn money faster and earn 10X as much.

You can become an Unlimited VIP by paying $97 or get access for 12 months for the price of $67.

Upsell #2: Job upgrades

The seconds upsell consists of 3 types that teach you how to earn money by becoming a freelancer that gets listed on the W.A.R. platform.

The first type is named social media paid jobs upgrade (at the cost of $37)

Write App Reviews Support

Writeappreviews.com does offer a form of support to its users.

They have a limited knowledge bank that covers some basic concepts which you can access through their search engine.

Write App reviews support

They also use a ticket system to manage all the requests that come in from the members.

There are a few things that I’m missing such as website tech support and an area for marketing support.

It’s not bad but I’m of the opinion it is not enough to support a semi-entrepreneurial endeavor like this.

Write App Reviews Red Flags

Unknown founder/CEO

It’s not uncommon for a business to not have information about its founder and CEO on its website.

Nike, for example, doesn’t have an about page dedicated to the CEO but most of the time you can find their information on Linkedin. That’s not the case with Write App Reviews.

Not finding this information doesn’t immediately mean it’s a scam but it is very strange.

Hidden costs

Before I signed up it was insinuated that it’d be free of charge to become a member. As soon as I gave my name and email address I was told that it cost $27.

This is a bit shady in my opinion because they take your email address which is valuable for companies and can possibly be sold to others and only afterward do they notify you of the costs.

It gets even crazier after that. You’ll be offered all kinds of upsells that are basically useless if you can’t get traffic which is the thing they don’t teach you to get.

A lot of complaints by ex-users

It seems Write App Review is a popular website and has a lot of ex-members that aren’t satisfied with what they got after paying for their services.

More than half of the reviews on multiple rating websites indicate that it’s a scam. It’s not uncommon for legit products to have some negative reviews but more than half is a lot.

The appcoiner goof

The Write App Reviews website does have some video testimonials on their website. The problem with these testimonials is that they aren’t about Write App Reviews.

They are about app coiner a platform that has been reviewed by many people and almost all of them came to the conclusion that it’s a scam.

App Coiner also looks like a clone website of Write App reviews which leads me to believe at the very least that they’re connected to each other.

I consider this a red flag.

Write App Reviews Reviews and User Ratings

Most blog reviewers and rating websites come to the same conclusion when it comes to Write App Reviews.

Most blog reviewers aren’t calling it a scam outright but they’re saying they don’t give you the tools to succeed.

On the other hand, the people on rating websites are calling it a scam.

Here are a few examples of what people on the internet think about writeappreviews.com.

You will not be paid a single cent by writeappreviews

Can you make money with Write App Reviews?

Review sites can bring in a lot of money. Funny enough, a lot of the income the website you’re on is earning money thanks to reviews but to make it work you need a good funnel and most importantly, traffic.

Most websites that review apps, websites, or other products get their traffic through SEO. The problem with Write App Reviews is that they don’t provide you with training to generate leads in any sort of way.

This means people that have no idea how to get people to their website are destined to fail.

They also fail to mention that ranking your content on Google with the help of SEO will require you to create a lot of content, come up with an internal linking strategy, research the competition, and build authority.

So in theory you can earn money but they don’t provide you with all the tools to earn money.

My Personal Take

What I like about Write App Reviews

1. Earning money writing reviews is possible
Earning money by reviewing apps is a real business.

How do I know that?

I know that because I also earn money by reviewing websites and apps. You're literally reading one of my reviews right now.

You can make a lot of money writing reviews but creating the reviews is only half the battle. You need to learn how you can consistently get eyes on your reviews.

2. 60-day money-back guarantee
Write App Reviews is listed on Clickbank which is an affiliate product marketplace.

One of the conditions of getting on their website is that you provide people with a money-back guarantee.

This lowers the risk of getting scammed out of your money.

What I don’t like about Write App Reviews

1. Hidden costs
I’m already not in love with the fact that I have to pay at all for this product. What makes things worse is that the moment you purchased the initial product you’ll be bombarded with upsells.

I’m not a fan of upsells especially those that are required to get the product to work.

2. Reviewing apps for money is harder than advertised
Earning money by reviewing apps takes more than just simply writing reviews. You also have to invest a lot of time up-front to make it work.

Write App Reviews makes it sound like an endeavor you can do in 1 weekend after which you’ll be rolling into money. That’s simply not the case.

3. They don't provide you with the traffic education
One of the most important things you need to be able to do if you want to earn money creating reviews is direct traffic to the reviews.

Whether that is through SEO, YouTube, Tik Tok, etc you need the knowledge to do that. It’s not as simple as placing your review on social media.

Write App Reviews doesn’t give you any training that’d help with doing that. Without that training, your chances of succeeding are incredibly low.

4. No real positive testimonial outside of those on the website
It’s something I have touched on earlier but it felt appropriate to mention it here. A lot of people aren’t satisfied with Write App Review.

It has gotten to the point that I haven’t seen a single positive review about Write App Reviews (that is real) that isn’t on their main website. If that isn’t a red flag I don’t know what is.

Here's my overall conclusion
I don’t think that Write App Reviews is a scam but they undersell some vital things needed to make this work.

This website makes me think of all these done-for-you affiliate systems that don’t give you the tools to efficiently direct traffic to your website while its the most important thing.

You’re basically making a traditional affiliate marketing website for apps. These websites can indeed bring in up to 5/6 figures a year but you’d need the proper training.

Unfortunately, Write App Reviews training isn’t equipped to get you to that point.

I also think they undersell how much work it takes. They recommend leaving reviews of 500 words but they don’t mention how in-depth you have to go and how many reviews you’ll have to write.

I don’t feel comfortable recommending Write App Reviews to people that want to earn money online.

Verdict

Is Write App Reviews A Scam? Write App Reviews isn’t a scam in my opinion but isn’t as good as advertised. They undersell how much effort it takes to get organic traffic and they don’t offer training to get organic traffic.

Alternative: How I Make Money Online

As I said in the review, affiliate marketing can bring in a lot of money but you need the proper training.

If you’re still interested in learning how to make money online with proper training I’d recommend taking a look at my #1 recommendation for earning money online.

wealthy affiliate

It’s an affiliate marketing training platform that teaches you everything you need to know to earn money online and also provides you with websites, research tools, and much more.

It is basically an all-in-one package for starting your own affiliate marketing business.

It’s where I learned to make websites that I use to review products and earn money.

The differences between Wealthy Affiliate and Write App Reviews is that they teach you how to consistently get people to your website, offer website tech support, and 1-on-1 expert feedback.

  1. Thank so much for writing this review. Every day, I see advertisements touting the latest and greatest method to generate money. The vast majority of them wind up being scams or are extremely difficult to profit from. I, too, discovered wealthy affiliate about a month ago. I had my website up and operating in that little amount of time. It took some effort, but they led me every step of the way. You can make it work if you are ready to put in the effort and follow their education.

    • Hey Pasindu Dimanka,

Yes, Wealthy Affiliate is definitely legit. It took me a while to get the hang of affiliate marketing but those live classes helped me out a lot.

  2. Although Write App Reviews doesn’t look like a scam in itself, I really do not trust this , to be honest. Seeing the reviews that say that you don’t get paid and the fact that you even have to pay to be able to use the app, sounds a bit fishy to me! Thank you for this expanded review though, I will look for something else to do from home 🙂

    • Hey Lizzy,

I agree. It doesn’t seem to be a scam but they don’t give you enough tools to succeed especially in 2022. This might’ve had some potential if it was released in 2012  and only for early adopters.

  3. Done-for-you programs are always a big no from me. I want my content/website/social media/blog to be unique and not just copy and paste blueprint of someone else’s work. Which, in Write Apps Reviews that seems to be the endpoint. It’s nice to have help from people who know the business, but to have them completely do your work is kind of a red flag of its own. Glad to see someone is providing all of this insight for those of us who are looking for legit ways to make money online.

    • I agree. Content is a big part of ranking on Google. If your content is exactly the same as other blogs word-for-word then it’s never going to get on the first page of Google.

  4. It’s an interesting job and a person can test different applications, from which he can benefit, not just money. The first thing I don’t like is the small earnings from it, and then there are a lot of negative comments and complaints from former users. In addition, there is no training.

    • Yes. It’s a shame because I think they could’ve made it work if they invested in giving people proper marketing lessons. The times of just creating reviews and having them rank on Google are long gone.

At the very least you’d need to know solid SEO to succeed.
