Vida Divina Review(Updated): Is Vida Divina A Scam or Legit?

Welcome to my Vida Divina MLM review.

You probably came to this page because you wonder if Vida Divina is legit, a pyramid scheme, or any other sort of scam.

No need to worry you’re in the right place for the answers to these questions.

Over the last few years, I’ve been busy creating reviews about all kinds of online products.

Some turned out to be fake others were legit ways to make money online but in the process, I learned how to spot scams.

I have communicated with a Vida Divina distributor, looked at company revenue numbers, and trends, and even compared it to other MLM companies.

As a result, I found out a lot of things people tend to overlook when researching Vida Divina.

In this post, I’ll show you absolutely everything you need to know about Vida Divina and after reading it you’ll know exactly if you should give it a chance.

What is Vida Divina?

Vida Divina is a Health supplement company founded by Armand and Esther Puyolt founded Divina in 2016. Armand has been in the networking marketing branch since he was 18 and became a millionaire in his twenties.

Vida Divina is an MLM company that manufactures and distributes health supplements primarily infused with mushrooms known for health benefits.

According to their website, their mission is to give people a real chance at creating a better life, so that no matter where they’re born, whether in the dirt or with a silver spoon, they can begin to imagine possibilities and have a way to make their dreams come true.

The Company is located at World Headquarters, 1700 S. Milliken Ave. Ontario, CA 91761.

How does Vida Divina work? Is Vida Divina An MLM?

Yes. Vida Divina is an MLM.

Vida Divina is a company that manufactures and distributes health-related products. Instead of directly selling it to consumers they have chosen to use the MLM model which gives you the choice to earn money by:

• Selling the products for a commission
• Recruiting people to earn bonuses.

What is MLM?

MLM (a.k.a network marketing or direct selling) stands for multi-level marketing.

According to Wikipedia, multi-level marketing is a marketing strategy for the sale of products or services where the revenue is derived from a non-salaried workforce.

As a part of this workforce, you sell the products from the company and/or you recruit people to do the same thing. This group of people you recruit will work under you and is referred to as your downline.

The bigger your downline is the more money you can earn passively (in an ideal world) because you’re also getting paid a percentage based on the performance of your downline.

This also means the person that recruited you which is called your upline is making money based on your performance.

Recruiting turns an MLM company into a pyramid-shaped organization where the first people to join make the most and are at the top of the pyramid and those last to join are at the bottom.

MLMs have been around for a long time. There are Multi-level marketing companies active today that were founded in the 1950s. The Multi-level Marketing business structure has a lot in common with pyramid schemes. This is why scammers often use MLM to disguise their pyramid schemes.

Is it absolutely necessary to recruit people while working for a legit MLM company? No.

You can also stick to just selling products you can order at wholesale price (25% discount) and re-sell to make a profit. 

This is easier said than done for multiple reasons which is why most members try to recruit others so they can earn more money.

How to join Vida Divina

People get referred to Vida Divina through other distributors but you can also sign-up through their website. They don’t have an opt-in page on their website but you can contact them through email or phone. 

After that, you can become a Vida Divina by following these 3 steps.

1. Choose a starter kit 
2. Receive your website and access to the back office 
3. Mentorship and training

1. Choose a starter kit
You can choose 1 of 4 starter kits with the cheapest being the Basic Pack for a price of $135.

This starters kit comes with all the legal documents and other paperwork needed to get started + the online resources needed to start your training.

You could also choose the optional starter kits instead of the basic pack. 

• The business builder pack, $340
• The retailer pack, $680
• The retailer pack pro, $1360

2. Receiving Your Website and access to the back office
All distributors get a personal website that they can use as their virtual base of operations. You’ll also get access to the back office and login details.

3. Mentorship and Training
After receiving your website, you’ll be mentored by your sponsor to increase your chances of succeeding. 

At the end of this 3-step process, you’ll be ready to start recruiting and selling products,

Is Vida Divina a pyramid scheme?

To answer this question we need to know what a pyramid scheme is.

What is a pyramid scheme?

A pyramid scheme is a type of scam where people are promised money for joining the scheme and recruiting other people. No selling of a product or service is involved whatsoever.

So you might be wondering where the money comes from.

The people that join are expected to pay a one-time fee and in exchange for that, they get a percentage of the fee of everyone they recruit after that.

The problem is from a mathematical standpoint it’s impossible for everyone to make money because you simply run out of people.

Take a look at this picture below showing how it’s impossible for everyone to earn money.

As you can see, in this pyramid model it’s required for every person to recruit 6 people. You’ll notice from the 12th level and further, it’s not possible anymore for everyone to earn money.

The 2.2 Billion people on the 12th level need 13.1 billion recruits in total for them all to make money which is more people than there are currently on Earth.

Looking at the description of what a pyramid scheme is, Vida Divina can’t be classified as a pyramid scheme from a legal perspective. Vida Divina products have given people a method to make money without recruiting people.

Who can benefit from Vida Divina?

Who would benefit from joining the Vida Divina MLM program:

• Expert recruiters
• People that want to use Green Compas products for themselves.
• People located in The United States and the UK
• People that are older than 18

Who shouldn’t join the Vida Divina MLM Program:

• People that hate recruiting
• People that expect to earn passive income

What products does Vida Divina sell?

TeDivina

TeDevina is considered to be Vid Divina’s flagship product. It’s a Tea formula that was created to cleanse and detoxify your body. 

It is a mix of 12 herbal blends such as Persimmon Leaves, Holy Thistle, Malva Leaves, Marsh, Blessed Thistle, Papaya, Myrrh, Chamomile, Ginger, Cranberry, Siberian Chaga, Reishi, and Fiber.

Vida Devina suggests you drink 8 oz. with breakfast, 8 oz. with lunch, and 4 oz with dinner.

Café Divina

The Cafe Devina product line was created as an environmental alternative to normal coffee. They also provide you with personal health benefits for weight control, heart, and liver support. 

Most of the products are infused with organic reishi extracts.

Factor Divina

Factor Divina is a beverage made out of fruit and vegetables. 

It’s formulated to support your overall health. 

Factor Divina contains 22 health-supporting ingredients such as:

Vida Divina suggests drinking 1 – 2 oz chilled every day. For further enjoyment, mix 1 oz. Factor Divina with 8 oz. of your favorite Lean shake or juice.

Vida Extracts

The Vida extracts are made to improve your overall health by adding them to your nutritional diet. All the extracts they sell are derived from different mushrooms such as reishi, shiitake, Maitake, and other types of mushrooms. 

You can either sprinkle it over your food or steep it in tea. 

Vida Divina suggests taking up to 2 teaspoons daily.

Vida Lean

Vida Lean was created to help people with weight control based on Sex, height, and weight. These shakes are meant as meal replacements. Vida Divina offers the shakes in different flavors such as Vanilla, Strawberry, Banana, Cookies ‘N Cream, and Chocolate. 

All shakes contain proprietary protein, antioxidant, digestive, and a probiotic blend. 

Vida Divina suggests mixing Lean with 8-10 fl. oz. of the drink of your choice. Replace one meal per day with Lean for healthy weight control.

Vida Supplements

Vida supplements are made to help with your diet and your overall health. This product line has capsules, proprietary blends, and beverages that support a fit and healthy lifestyle. 

These products block the absorption of carbs and sugars. They also provide you with more energy and increase focus. Just like all Vide Divina products contain all types of mushrooms. 

This is the category with the most variety of products and the suggested use for the products all differ. If you want more specific information about suggested use you can find it on their supplements product page.

Vida Essentials’

These are personal care products created by Vida Divina. 

Most of these are oils, soap cleansers, and moisturizers for the skin but they also offer Vida toothpaste.

These products also contain mushroom extracts.

Are Vida Divina Products FDA approved?

Vida Divina products haven’t been evaluated by the FDA in any way. 

They’re required to put a disclaimer on their products saying that their products don’t treat, cure, diagnose, or prevent any disease.

Has it been scientifically proven that Vida Divina products work?

It has not been scientifically proven that Vida Divina products work.

You’ll notice that all the copy on their product talks about supporting overall health but nothing more than that. What that exactly suggests is hard to find out and can be interpreted in different ways.

Are Vida Divina Products safe?

The reviews are mostly positive but some people say they have experienced side effects because of the supplements. They, of course, vary depending on which supplement you take.

Based on some of the ingredients, Vida Divina’s side effects may include:

• Nausea
• Upset stomach
• Headache
• Sleeplessness
• Increased heart rate

Has Vida Divina been involved in lawsuits?

No. Vida Divina has never been involved in a lawsuit.

Are Vida Divina products ideal to sell?

The products aren’t scientifically proven to do anything but people seem to be satisfied with the products they purchased. There are also no records of the products being dangerous and the company hasn’t been involved in lawsuits.

I don’t think it’s the perfect product to promote but you can definitely work with products like these.

Pros and Cons

Pros

• A lot of good product reviews
  Most people that have rated the product online seem to be satisfied with Vida Divina. This makes it easier to sell as a distributor because you can refer to all the positive reviews.

Cons

• You have to pay to play
  You have to purchase a specific amount of Vida Divina products to stay eligible for earning commissions and bonuses. The same applies to getting commissions based on your downlines. The higher the rank, the more you have to purchase.
• Hard to scale
  Vida Divina recruiting and selling requires you to be face-to-face with people. Unfortunately, they don’t allow you for example to use SEO to promote your website. Since you can’t be everywhere at once it limits how much money you can earn.
• No tangible benefits to products
  It’s hard to prove that these products work because it’s not really specified what they exactly do. The reviews are great but if anyone asks what it exactly is and what it improves it is hard to answer. 

Vida Divina Compensation Plan

Vida Divina can be considered a traditional binary MLM when you look at its compensation plan. You either re-sell their products for a commission or you can recruit people and receive residual income, climb up the ranks, and earn bonuses.

In total there are 17 ranks that all come with their benefits such as getting a higher commission percentage of all your sales starting at 20% to a max of 47%

How much does it cost to become a Vida Divina affiliate?

At the very least, you’ll have to invest $135 into a basic kit. Purchasing at least 1 starter kit is obligated.

After becoming a member you have a monthly quota to uphold 120PV to stay eligible for any type of commission. 

How much PV every product is worth isn’t public knowledge but I did find a distributor that gave me information to work with. 

If you “accumulate” a basic pack that contains 18 different teas at the price of $135 as a distributor you’ll acquire 120 PV.

Accumulating is a fancy word for acquiring products by personally purchasing them or reselling them. 

Over a year that’s a minimal financial investment of $1620.

Here’s where the financial risk often comes into play. If you purchase the monthly quota but you aren’t able to sell it all you stay a member but you could lose money.

Ways to earn money with Vida Divina?

Vida Divina provides their members with 12 ways to earn money. 

• Retail Profits
  Earn 10% – 20% commission on everything sell.
• Fast Track Bonus
  Earn 50%-70% on every starter pack you sell.
• Roll Up Fast Track Bonus
  An additional 5%-20% on top of your fast track bonus.
• Presenter Bonus
  20% of the fast track bonus associated with the initial starter pack volume purchased.
• Team Commissions
  Binary payout based on team earnings
• Accelerated team commissions
  Extra binary payout ranging from 5% to 10% of team earnings.
• Check Match Bonus
  From rank Silver and above you’ll earn a 50% match on what your personally sponsored affiliates are earning.
• Mercedes Benz bonus
  Purchase or lease a Mercedes Benz that is within 3 years of the current model year.
• Star coins
  1 star coin equals 40 PV and can be redeemed.
• Rank Advancement Rewards
  250 – 20.000 star coin reward based on advancing to the next rank.
• Leadership Rewards
  Trips, Cruises, and 7-night vacations and luxury resorts.

Can you really earn money as a Vida Divina distributor?

Technically, the sky is the limit, but in reality, we know there's often a limit because of factors such as your ability to recruit, your competition, and the performance of your downlines.

Unfortunately, Vida Divina hasn’t published a transparent income disclosure to get a good look at what current members are earning. 

On their website, they have an income disclosure. Here’s what it says about the income earned by their distributors:

Based on industry standards and company projections, the average annual gross revenue for Affiliates is projected to be anywhere between $500 and $2,000. 

These numbers do not reflect the expenses associated with building a Vida Divina business, which could exceed the commissions received.

There is very little that can be deduced from the disclosure. The might be the industry average in earnings but that says nothing about actual profit.  

Just like there are industry averages for revenue there are also statistics showcasing the profit MLM distributors earn. Here are a few of those statistics.

• Nearly half (47%) of MLM participants reported that they lost money.
• One in four (27%) MLM participants reported that they broke even (made no money).
• MLM participants are 7% more likely to declare bankruptcy during their lifetime.
• Direct sales have risen 79% in the last decade, but MLM participants continue to lose money.
• 90 – 99% of distributors in multilevel marketing only receive a couple of hundred dollars commission per year.
• Out of 33,000 interviewed, 90 people made enough money to cover the costs of building their business.
• 50% of the people who start a network marketing enterprise abandoned it in the first year.

These statistics seem very shocking at first sight but you also have to keep in mind that most people quit within the first year. This is known to be the least profitable year in every MLM.

There will be a lot of frontloading that has to occur before you earn money with Vida Divina and it’s almost a certainty that you’ll lose money in that first year. 

You’ll also barely earn money in the second year. I do think over the years your revenue will grow but the chance you’ll ever break even doesn’t seem likely for most.

The majority of members are first years in most MLM companies which is also the reason most of the money goes to a small percentage of the members that got in early.

I also see it shares the same “handicaps” most MLM companies have which prevents members from earning decent money.

Why aren’t people earning decent money with MLM companies like Vida Divina?

I have summed up the reasons or why it's hard to make money with Vida Divina and MLM companies in general into 3 points. As a Vida Divina independent distributor, you’ll have to deal with the first 2 points mentioned below.

1. MLMs are often associated with pyramid schemes
MLMs have a pyramid recruiting structure that you often have to join to be able to make decent money or at the very least not lose money. The problem is a lot of pyramid schemes disguise themselves as MLM programs making it difficult to differentiate the two.

This is the biggest problem why most distributors have a difficult time recruiting people. The moment people hear about how you can make money by recruiting people red flags appear in most people’s minds.

2. You have to consistently invest money to earn decent commissions
The bigger the bonuses the more product you have to buy. and the more you have to recruit. You do get discounts but if you can’t sell the products I can see you easily fall into a financial deficit (which happens to the majority of MLMs).

3. The price of the product often isn’t aligned with the market

It’s hard for a multi-level marketer to sell products because most MLM products tend to be a lot more expensive than similar products sold by non-MLM companies.

This means even if you’re really good at recruiting your downline still needs to sell those same expensive products for you to make decent money.

It's often an uphill battle to succeed with the avarage MLM company.

This of course doesn't mean that's the case with Vida Divina.

That being said, if you as a company uphold the industry average as an income disclosure I think it's fair to also mention the MLM industry average profit members earn in statistics.

Vida Divina Reviews, Opinions, and Ratings

A lot of blog reviewers have shared their opinion of Vid Divina as an MLM program and if it’s a good opportunity to earn money. You can find them simply by googling Vida Divina reviews just like I did but in case you don’t want to do that I created a small summary of the general consensus.

Most of the reviewers don’t consider Vida Divina a pyramid scheme from a legal perspective but they do think it might be a pyramid scheme in disguise or at the very least a bad opportunity.

There are also a lot of user reviews about the products. These seem to be a lot more positive. People seem to be positive about the products. 

Vida Divina Revenue & Popularity

Vida Divina as a company has done well in revenue since its inception bringing in roughly $195 every year up til 2019. 

After 2019, it experienced a financial spike which I suspect has something to do with the pandemic seeing as revenue has been declining since 2021 (I can’t confirm this). 

According to multiple sources, it is believed the company lost $100 million between 2021 and 2022. 

How it’ll fare in the coming years I can’t say but it does seem that the golden age for earning money with Vida Divina was between 2019 and 2021.

This also seems to be reflected in the statistics on Google Trends. 

It seems it was the most relevant between 2020 and 2021 and the search term is steadily declining with time. 

This doesn't mean it doesn't have the ability to bounce back but it might not be the best time to jump into Vid Divina at the moment while it’s decreasing in demand and popularity.

My Personal Take

What I like: 

1. The products are well received by the audience

Vida Divina products aren’t FDA approved and haven’t scientifically been proven to work but people seem to be very positive about it. 

You can see this when looking at the reviews of people that have tried the products. I have been on multiple websites where you can leave your experiences with Vida Divina and they all seem to be very positive.

What I don’t like:

1. The Financial Risk 

You spend a lot of money upfront just to join the MLM program and afterward every month you’re buying at least $120 worth of products without knowing if you can resell these products and make a profit.

The financial risk gets higher the more you climb the ranks. Vida Divina is a high-risk, high-reward opportunity but the deck is stacked against you.

2. The reputation of the business model

The pyramid structure of Vida Divina is in a lot of ways similar to that of a pyramid scheme. 

The difference between an MLM and a pyramid scheme is that there’s an influx of money coming into the pyramid from selling products but most people don’t know that. 

When you combine this with the fact that a lot of MLM companies turned out to be pyramid schemes you can be sure that a lot of people will be apprehensive to join your downline.

3. The inability to scale

In multi-level marketing, the selling and recruiting are primarily done in person.

Your chances of selling and recruiting increase because you can address objections in real-time but the number of people you can reach is considerably smaller.

Unlike, affiliate marketing where you can reach hundreds to thousands of people on a daily basis you are reliant on your recruits to keep recruiting people to increase your income. 

This is also why you tend to see a lot more, 6-figure affiliate marketers, than multi-level marketers.

4. Decrease in relevancy 

Relevancy is closely linked to the demand for a company and its products. 

Search data has confirmed that fewer people are using the search term Vida Divina and it keeps decreasing. 

Since a lot of your success as a distributor is going to be based on sales a decrease in interested people is going to hurt your chances to sell products and earn commissions.

Verdict

Is Vida Divina A Pyramid scheme? I don’t think Vida Divina is a pyramid scheme or a scam but I don’t think it’s a great business opportunity either.

There are just too many obstacles you have to overcome to earn meaningful money. 

The reputation of the business model, the way you have to market the products, and how much money you have to invest upfront make it a difficult road to endeavor.

The statistics related to this business model also show that the chances of succeeding with Vida Divina might be low.

Is Vida Divina A Scam? 

According to the oxford dictionary, a scam is defined as a dishonest scheme or a fraud. 

Vida Divina doesn’t fall under this category because it isn’t spreading any untruths about the Vida Divina opportunity. Vida Divina is a legitimate MLM company.

I do think it takes a bit of investigating to truly see in what kind of state the company is and if you really can call it a business opportunity, especially with its declining numbers.

Do I recommend joining Vida Divina?

The company seems to be losing revenue and relevancy since 2021. 

It’s already hard to succeed with this business model so if the demand decreases it’s only going to become exponentially harder to earn money.

I wouldn’t recommend joining Vida Divina if you’re expecting to earn meaningful money in a reasonable timespan.

Vida Divina Alternative

Unfortunately, Vida Divina isn’t for everyone. 

It comes with significant financial risk and it’s hard to scale because most of the marketing is done face-to-face and you can’t be at multiple places at once.

This is why I suggest for those that don’t want to deal with these 2 factors an alternative.

It is called affiliate marketing. 

It’s the method I use to earn most of the money I earn online.

How do you earn money with affiliate marketing?

You don’t have to sell products or services and you don’t have to recruit people.

The only thing you’ll be doing is recommending products and as a result, refer people (that already are interested) to merchant websites such as Amazon, Walmart, and eBay. 

When people buy something based on your recommendation you’ll get a percentage of the purchase.
